About Askania Nova, Ukraine:- Askania Nova Ukraine is a biosphere reserve located in Kherson Oblast,Ukraine along with dry Taurida Steppe near Oleshky Sands.The reserve also consists of a zoological park which is a botanical garden along with an open territory of Virgin Steppes.The nature reserve got established in 1898 and further got established by 1984.The zoo and botanical garden got expanded and Askania-Nova got reorganized into zoo and botanical garden.The reserve consists of acclimatization and has all the local species such as ostriches, antelopes, bison, llamas, Zebras and many other such species.The 2008 saw the Askania Nova naming of “Seven Natural Wonders of Ukraine” and although sanctuary is located in relatively remote area it has many visitors.
