Rome capital city: This is situated in the central region of Lazio. Rome was the capital of the Roman Empire and at present, it is the capital of Italy. This is a vast city, which is of great historic importance, but at the same time, it is modern also. This city is best known for the Vatican City and Roman structures. Colosseum : The Colosseum is located in the heart of the city of Rome, Italy. This is the largest amphitheater in the history, which can hold around 80,000 spectators. Mostly it was used for gladiatorial contests and other public spectacles. Later this Colosseum was used for housing workshops and religious orders. Vespasian was the emperor of Rome at the time of its construction and Titus completed its construction. In the start of the mediaeval era, this Colosseum was used for entertainment purpose. At present, the Colosseum is the top tourist attraction in Rome and thousands of tourists are flocking to this place. The entrance to this building is free for European Union citizens.

Leaning Tower of Pisa : The leaning Tower of Pisa is among the top architectural marvels of medieval Europe. It is situated in the town of Pisa, which is one of the most sought after destination among European cities. The height of this tower is 60 m and until 1990, this tower was leaning at an angle of 10°. Its construction was started to make it vertical, but during its construction it started leaning. The construction of this tower began in 1173 and was completed in a span of 200 years because of a series of wars. The most surprising fact is architect of this tower is not known, this is still a mystery.

Amalfi Coast: The Amalfi Coast is located in southwestern part of Italy in the region of Campania. Its extra ordinary beauty is the reason why tourists are flocking to this place. It is picturesque coastline features lemon tree gardens, multicolored villas, craggy cliffs and shimmering bays. Roman Forum : The Roman forum was a place where religious and public events were held in ancient Rome. This forum is situated near Colosseum and is one of the greatest signs of Roman Empire. The location of this forum was well known, but the excavation work was started in the 20th century. There are many temples in this forum, which are dedicated to Venus, Saturn, Vesta, Romulus and many more. If you have not seen this forum when you are on your trip to Rome, it is same like as if you have visited Paris, but you have not seen Eiffel tower. This is an interesting place where you can spend several hours without getting bored.

Venice: This is a unique city and is built on a lagoon, which is surrounded by the Adriatic Sea. This is situated in northeastern part of Italy. This is a mesmerizing place to see as it is an archipelago of 118 islands, which are properly connected with each other through Bridges and canals. Waterways and historic architecture makes it one of the most sought after romantic cities in the world. It is crowded round the year and do not forget to take a Gondola ride when you are in Venice.
